Defense bill revamps Abercrombie proposals

TWO controversial amendments by Hawaii congressman Neil Abercrombie that would have limited the amount of work foreign laborers could do on realignment projects and another which would apply Hawaii’s prevailing labor wage rates to laborers on Guam military buildup projects have been compromised in the half billion dollar 2010 national defense budget bill.
