A Guide to Health and Fitness

    Now on Home Video

Weight Watchers is the name that means excellent health and fitness to millions of health-conscious Americans. It is the renowned organization devoted to understanding the problems of being overweight and developing sound and practical methods of weight control- and it is the name you trust for healthy solutions to weight-related problems.

Now, the Weight Watchers Magazine approach to total health and fitness is available for the first time on home video- with Weight Watchers Magazine Guide to a Healthy Lifestyle. This is the first complete home video guide to healthy living that combines information on nutrition, exercise, and more in a fun and informative format.

Weight Watchers Magazine Guide to a Healthy Lifestyle is hosted by well loved stage, screen and television actress, and Successful WW member LYNN REDGRAVE, and offers you a unique take home guide to health and fitness that includes:

-Lynn Redgrave’s weight loss success tale

-Look Familiar? sketches from “The High Heeled Women”- WW own comedy troop

-Interviews and expert advice from psychologist Dr. Henry Grayson

-Low Calorie dessert recipe provided by a resident chef of the New York Restaurant School

-Beryl Binder, a yoga instructor, gives helpful hints about walking as a form of aerobic exercise.

    - Weight Loss Success Tale from two Female WW Lifetime Members

    - Dining out Tips from nutritionist, Gayle Levian

    - Weight Loss Success Tale from a Male WW Lifetime Member

    - WW Field Reporter, Amanda McTygue, goes to a New York Salon and receives a daytime make-up look

    - Tom Gurgly, a personal trainer, gives WW Lifetime members tips on swimming and aquatic exercises

    approx 56 minutes running time c 1984/1985

My comments: This video is obviously quite dated, but the beauty of WW, is that they have always encouraged sensible dieting and exercise and have always backed up their claims through scientific research. This video can be quite useful for someone who is stuggling with healthy eating or basic fitness and needs a small motivation….it’s also perfect for anyone who is 80′s nostolgic!
