Bill seeks to uphold free press

SENATOR Ray Tenorio yesterday proposed a bill that would make it a third-degree felony for government authorities who violate the freedom of the press to gather truth and protect their sources. Tenorio will introduce the Guam Privacy Protection Act, codifying its federal counterpart into Guam law, and adding criminal penalties against anyone who violates it.
